Tropical Conversations
What happens when observation becomes conversation? This work began with nineteenth-century botanical illustration plates and field studies of tropical birds. Rather than reproducing the references literally, the forms were reinterpreted through color, scale, and composition. The birds cease to be specimens and become personalities sharing a common branch and a common horizon.
